Dr. Samuel Tetteh Kwashie is a Medical Practitioner who obtained his Medical Degree (BSc., MB. ChB) from the University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. He holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Ghana and a Master’s in Mother and Child Health from the University of London. He is a Public Health Consultant and a Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (IHRMP) Ghana and a former Executive Member of the Institute’s National Governing Council.
Dr. Kwashie Served with the Ministry of Health/Ghana Health Service in various management capacities as Medical Superintendent, District Director of Health Service, Deputy Director (Public Health), and Regional Director of Health Services.
He developed and implemented the concept of a Health Week dedicated to Children in Ghana, which was later adopted by the Ghana Health Service and runs as the annual Child Health Promotion Week.
He developed another concept, “Time with Grandma”, on Adolescent Reproductive Health for a UNFPA/GHS Reproductive Health Project.
Awards he has received include a National Award from the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs in recognition of his contribution to the welfare of children in Ghana, Distinguished Member of the Central Division of the Ghana Medical Association, Most hardworking Regional Head of Department (Central region) and the “IHRMP STAR AWARD” from the Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Ghana.
Dr. Kwashie is a Member of the National Committee on Health and Environment of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and a National Director of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI).
