On 11 March 2026, Members of the OGP Caucus of Parliament gathered in Accra for a refresher orientation and training aimed at strengthening their role in advancing open governance in Ghana.
The session brought together Members of Parliament, governance experts, and civil society partners to deepen understanding of the Open Government Partnership framework, the commitments under National Action Plan 5, and Parliament’s role in strengthening transparency and accountability. Discussions also explored how parliamentary oversight can support anti-corruption reforms and improve citizens’ trust in public institutions.
The engagement, organised by Transparency International Ghana in collaboration with Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition and Africa Centre for Energy Policy, and supported by the Parliament of Ghana and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, focused on equipping members of the Caucus to champion transparency, promote open parliament initiatives, and strengthen oversight of national OGP commitments.
Through dialogue, presentations, and strategy discussions, members examined practical ways to link OGP pillars with anti-corruption reforms and enhance parliamentary leadership in promoting accountable governance.
