Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the Local Chapter of Transparency International (TI), is a non-partisan, non-profit civil empowerment organisation focused on the delivery of essential themes necessary for the creation of a National Integrity System. GII focuses solely on the fight against corruption. In pursuit of its vision of a corruption free Ghana, it has already established itself as the leading non-governmental organisation (NGO) combating corruption. GII is seeking to recruit two energetic and highly motivated individuals as a Communications and Knowledge Management (CKM) Officer and Resource Mobilization Officer, for a two-year period and subject to renewal depending on delivery.


  1. Communication and Knowledge Management Officer

The Communications and Knowledge Management (CKM) Officer shall be responsible for the planning and creation of materials to promote the public image of GII. Specifically, the Communications and Knowledge Management Officer shall be responsible for the following:

Communication Role

  • Implement GII’s Communications and Knowledge Management strategy;
  • Identify and segment GII’s main stakeholders and determine the best way to reach them in pursuit of the organization’s aims and objectives;
  • Continually develop methods for enhancing GII’s corporate image and identity;
  • Write press releases and prepare information about GII and its programmes for the media;
  • Assist and inform GII on current corruption issues and relevant stakeholders to contact in its advocacy efforts;
  • Develop corporate collaterals and promotional materials for GII;
  • Responsible for ensuring effective internal communications, including the production of the GII Alert Newsletter;
  • Help GII’s Management in the preparation of speeches, presentations and arranging interviews and maintaining other forms of public contact;
  • Attend functions and participate in activities of stakeholders to promote GII;
  • Carry out regular updates and management of the GII website and social media platforms


Knowledge Management Role

  • Undertake an assessment and stocktaking of GII’s knowledge materials;
  • Document lessons learnt and good practices and share them with the broader organisation and stakeholders;
  • Promote cross-learning amongst GII’s staff and partners and document all theme programmes;
  • Support all colleagues in the promotion of internal mechanisms for enhancing knowledge generation and cross-learning;
  • Disseminate and promote the utilisation of key research and case studies both internally and to the external world; and
  • Promote the replication of documented best practices amongst stakeholders and partner organisations in Ghana and globally.


Required skills or experience

The CKM Officer should have a(n):

  • Advanced degree in Communication Studies or a related field
  • At least 5 years post-graduation experience in field  practice working  in an NGO environment
  • Clear understanding of governance issues in Ghana
  • Good team and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Capable of working under pressure and against deadlines
  • Excellent computer literacy is a basic requirement
  • Fluency in the English language;
  • Knowledge of a second international language will be an advantage



2.  Resource Mobilisation Officer

The Resource Mobilisation Officer shall coordinate and execute all fundraising efforts to support GII’s operations. Specifically, the role and responsibilities of the Resource Mobilisation Officer shall comprise but not limited to:

  • Establish and broaden relations with traditional and/or non-traditional donors and financial partners and analyze information on their funding priorities and trends;
  • Explore possible sources of funding, and coordinate strategic programme development opportunities with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop resource mobilization capacity through establishing a sound, methodological, coordinated and long-term approach to resource mobilization.
  • Organize fundraising activities, such as donor briefings and presentations or joint donor events with identified donors in cooperation with Management.
  • Initiative proposal development and execute in collaboration with the rest of the GII staff;
  • Monitor the provision of transparent, high-quality targeted reports for donors as agreed in the respective agreements;
  • Consistently monitor systematic, regular and transparent reporting on all fundraising activities and results related to the donor community;
  • Meet fundraising targets set by the Board of GII


Required skills or experience

The Resource Mobilization Officer should have a(n):

  • Advanced degree in Resource Mobilization or a related field
  • At least 5 years post-graduation experience in fundraising in an NGO environment
  • Clear understanding of governance issues with particular reference to anti-corruption  in Ghana
  • Ability to contribute to the development of a fundraising approach with regards to the donor community and to develop fundraising tools and mechanisms.
  • Ability to develop and adapt innovative approaches and replicable strategies for fundraising, through the analysis of trends and experience and the consideration of lessons learnt.
  • Ability to challenge and question common resource mobilization practices and previous approaches, to adapt to changing circumstances and needs, and to identify and prioritize marketable projects.
  • Ability to build networks and strategic alliances and maintain relationships with key donors and other partners, with tact and sensitivity.
  • Good team and time management skills
  • Capable of working under pressure and against deadlines
